Notes: A cigarette case decorated with engine turned stripes, front and back, hallmarks and touchmarks are present for William Hayes, Birmingham, 1898. The curved rectangular case opens to reveal a lightly gilt washed interior.
Condition: Antique, Good
For Accuracy: an antique it may show expected light signs of age, the engraving is crisp and clean with light surface wear only, the interior retains a light gilt wash. There are two light dents, one on the upper left corner and the other bottom right. The front bears a monogram in fancy entwined script. The latch and hinge are in working order and the body is made of a quality gauge solid silver with a soft and rich patina.
