cobalt, yellow and white glaze
7 ⅞” high x 6 ⅞” diameter
The globular form is covered in a cobalt glaze, the extended neck decorated in a yellow and white arts & crafts style checkerboard with golden spirals curling into the white rectangles.
Markings: impressed on base with “ROYAL DOULTON | ENGLAND” Royal Warrant lion & crown mark (B.7, pp 178, Eyles / 21, pp 148, Eyles), in use at the Burslem factory c. 1902-1922; impressed on base “7409G”, “G | 590”; incised with artist monogram
Condition: Antique, Excellent
For Accuracy: an antique it may show expected light signs of age. There are a couple of open glaze bubbles, this is common and expected with this glaze style – it is not damage and considered part of the production. The form and decoration are fine.
