Description: An Ekenäs Glasbruk L1562 vase blown by John-Orwar Lake, signed. The globular body with a short neck and everted rim is carefully formed by blown and internally marvered swirling clouds of orange and smoke glass with a sea of rising bubbles.

Condition: Antique, Very Good
For Accuracy: an antique it may show expected light signs of age.

Bio: John-Orwar Lake (Finnish-Swedish, 1921-2007) Ceramicist, Glass Artist, Designer and Visual Artist. STUDIED: Art Industrial Academy, Helsinki (1944-1947); Free Painting School, Helsinki (1945-1947); Lena Börjeson’s Sculpture School (1947-1948); Royal Academy of Arts, Stockholm (1948-1949).
