Notes: The substantial art deco vase is made of malachite glass and sports deep relief roses and sickles with a gear base, a camouflaged departure from their typical decorative wares of nudes, flora and fauna. Designed by Alexander Pfohl for the Schlevogt Ingrid brand c. 1936 it’s symbolism wouldn’t have escaped anyone.
