Candlestick No. 5092, c. 1903-1932
Verre de Soie, Hand-blown Glass
9 7/8” high x 5 ¼” diameter

Description: Rare Steuben no. 5092 candlestick in verre de soie glass, an unsigned well-documented form. The glass is carefully blown, twisted, hot-worked, and applied together to present a distinctive form featuring a twisted infinity stem. The delicate crystal is finished in the rainbow-iridized satin frosted Verre de Soie technique, a colour that Frederick Carder stated was his favorite of all glass types Steuben designed.

Condition: Antique, Excellent
For Accuracy: an antique it may show expected light signs of age. The quality of the execution is exemplified in the fire-polished rim and foot.

(Champagne bottle included for scale only.)
