Tudric Hot Water Jug #0967
British Arts & Crafts, c. 1900
Impressed, Made in England 0967
6” high x 4 ¾” widest (spout to handle)
Notes: Liberty & Knox are known for the highest forms of British Art Nouveau wares, the Tudric line offering the best in art pewter metalware. Here the organic cylindrical body is embossed with stylized Lunaria annua (honesty) seed pods and interlaced stems around the lower body, with a [] thumb lift, beak spout, cane wrapped insulated handle, and integral pad foot.
Condition: Very Good Condition
For Accuracy: an Antique it may show expected light signs of age and use related wear. The pot sits slightly on a backwards angle, it may have been set down heavy at one point and slightly collapsed at the back of the integral pad; thus, the lid is not complexly square with the rim. It has been left unpolished with the original patina. The protective braided rattan handle wrap is excellent with no frays or splinters.
