SUMMARY: Early American c. 1770-1800 powder horn of substantial musket / magazine size with octagonal carved cross-hatched spout and octagonal carved lower body and hand-made screw secured slightly concave wooden end-cap. A ring is fascened into the cap and from a ring attached to a custom leather strap near the spout. The horn has an attractive natural curve and patina.
DIMENSIONS: 12 ¼” long x 2 ¾” diameter
CONDITION: Antique, Excellent. For Accuracy Only: The long leather strap may be a later addition, but it has notable age as well. The spout plug is missing as is common.
