In the foreground, just beyond a small body of water are 2 large trees along a hedge row, the hedgerow extends around a field of hay with a farm and further trees visible along the horizon. Within the field three figures are loading hay onto a wagon that is being pulled behind a tractor. The dynamic composition and lively expression convey the urgency of the autumn harvest and variable weather found at the change of the season.
