Notes: Historic painting by Edgar Cudworth of Clayton West, Barnsley, South Yorkshire and Internationally known for his portrayals of West Yorkshire and surrounding areas. The watercolour shows the 13th Century Baraugh Mill on the River Dearne. A water mill that traditionally milled corn, it remained intact until 1968 when the building was demolished and the mill wheel removed to a museum in York. Only the weir, wheel pit and remnants of the mill house walls remain now.

Condition: Excellent Antique Condition – no damage, no repair with very little age and use wear, only what is expected on such an item. It has not been cleaned and is offered as found for buyer’s personal preferences. Presented in what is an early gilt carved wood frame it is clean and ready for display.
