Description: A fine Canadian Tonalist oil on panel landscape painting by listed artist John A. Hammond (1843-1939) Royal Canadian Society of Artists, Ontario Society of Artists, titled ‘Arkville, NY’, circa 1895.
Notes: Arkville, New York, in the Catskills, was a known painter’s colony attracting artists particularly interested in the Barbizon and Tonalist schools.
