Description: Original watercolour with body colour titled, ‘Night Lights’, by Contemporary Canadian artist Ron De Veau, BFA.  Shown are city lights glistening on the waters of a bay at twilight, the surrounding countryside set in silhouette.

Markings: signed lower left, “RON DEVEAU”; titled on original gallery sheet verso 

Artist Biography: DEVEAU, Ron, BFA: is an Acadian, now living in London.  His paintings are influenced by his love for the Ontario and Quebec countrysides and his passion for the Maritimes.  He has painted in San Miguel, Mexico and the oyster country of Virginia.  He studied with Jack Reid, Brian Atyeo, Devona Paquette and the late Tom Cayley.  His work has been shown at London’s University Hospital, Weldon Library, U.W.O., the Toronto Outdoor Show, St. Paul’s Annual Show, The Home Country Folk Festival, Heliogrope, Fanshawe College, the London Regional Art Gallery, as well as many group shows. His first one man show was held at the Framing Place in London and his most recent at the London Free Press building.
