Description: Art Deco ‘Ceramic Cloisonné’ faience vase made by Longwy (France, Est 1798), c. 1930. The ovoid form with upward mouth is supported on three ball feet and decorated with alternating bands of stylized flowers in eleven different colour glazes of yellows, blues, pinks, black, and white.
Markings: [c. 1890-1948 Longwy Armorial Backstamp] / [Made in France] [A8] / [D5404] / impressed [??]
Condition: Antique, Excellent
For Accuracy: an antique item it may show expected light signs of age. The ‘craze’ is from firing and an important feature in the desired effect Longwy hoped to achieve with this style glaze – it is not damage.
