Japan, Early 19th Century
Coralene & Cobalt ‘Iris’ Vase, c. 1910s
Hand-Painted, Glass Beads, Cobalt
8 ¼” high x 5” diameter
Notes:Large luminescent purple and pink iris constitute the central design and surround the main body. The waisted form is attractive and with the addition of the asymmetric beaded cobalt and gilt top and bottom borders surrounding additional coralene shells and florals the piece is completed with a flourish.
