A large standard glaze American art pottery jardinière by Weller Pottery (1872-1948), Zanesville, Ohio, 8 ½ inches high x 10 ⅜ inches diameter, painted underglaze with a large chrysanthemum bloom, a bud, foliage and spaced diagonal brush strokes of color. It was probably painted by Karl Kappes (1861‐1943) or L. Knaus. It was made circa 1898-1900.
