American Arts & Crafts pottery vase with hand-painted blue Dogwoods with white, pink and lilac highlights on a blue over cream ground, attributed to Hester Pillsbury, at Weller Pottery, unsigned well-documented décor, and form, c. 1917. Hudson is one of Weller’s most prized early lines and displays refined and “modernized” hand-painted floral decoration by some of their top artists.
